Inter are reportedly already planning their transfer strategy for the summer of 2025, including a swoop for Aston Villa defender Pau Torres.
The Nerazzurri have made advance planning a hallmark of their recent success under Beppe Marotta, who was first CEO and now promoted to President under new owners Oaktree.
That has been evident in the collection of free agents amassed over the last few years, including Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcus Thuram, Medhi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski.
According to Calciomercato.it, Marotta is already preparing the groundwork for his first pick in the summer of 2025 to reinforce an ageing defence.
His target is said to be 27-year-old Pau Torres, who Aston Villa purchased from Villarreal last year for €33m.
It will not be a cheap target, with his price-tag climbing to a reported €50m, but Inter hope to work on him early and also include player exchanges to lower the fee.
He has 24 senior caps for Spain and is left-footed, one of the key roles that the Nerazzurri are seeking to fill.
