Inter Milan are set to make a decisive new bid for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman in a meeting tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan have made Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman their priority target.

The Nerazzurri made an offer of €40 million for the Nigerian earlier this month. However, Atalanta rejected this initial bid – giving Inter a counteroffer of €50 million.

However, that has not deterred Inter. Far from it – they are aiming to return with another offer very soon.

The Gazzetta dello Sport confirm that Inter’s new offer for Lookman will be around €45 million with add-ons.

It could be €43 million up front, plus a couple million more in add-ons.

The Nerazzzurri are hoping that by essentially splitting the difference between their initial bid and Atalanta’s counteroffer they can wrap things up quickly.

Furthermore, Inter will make the offer on the basis of a permanent sale, rather than a loan with a purchase option like their first bid.

The Gazzetta confirm that Inter plan to put the new offer on the table tomorrow. They’ll do so before the meeting of the Lega Serie A assembly.

So far, Inter are hoping that Lookman can rely on Atalanta’s informal promise to let him leave this summer will oblige La Dea to play ball and accept their next offer.

Lookman only wants Inter. However, if the Nerazzurri fail to wrap up a deal tomorrow, the 27-year-old’s stance could change.
