Inter Milan have reportedly set their priorities straight heading into the final days of the summer transfer window.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the club is keen to reinforce two crucial areas of the squad.
Cristian Chivu has urged the club to sign a new midfielder after failing to strike a deal for Ademola Lookman.
Indeed, the 44-year-old coach is eager to add a versatile deep-lying playmaker to his well-knit squad.
Manu Kone would be an ideal signing, yet Roma are not interested in selling their prized asset.

In addition to a new midfielder, Inter are looking to strengthen their backline with a top-class defender.
Furthermore, the Italian giants have no intention of signing a short-term solution.
Instead, they remain focused on finding a quality center-back who can make a long-term impact at the club.
Udinese’s Oumar Solet has emerged as Chivu’s top target, but the Friulians have set a high price tag.
Indeed, they ask for €30 million to sanction the 25-year-old’s exit.
