Inter Milan are ready to raise their offer to Atalanta for forward Ademola Lookman by around €2-3 million.
This according to today’s print edition of Bergamo-based newspaper Corriere di Bergamo, via FCInter1908.
Inter Milan have marked Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as their primary target in attack.
The Nigerian international won’t come cheap. Atalanta are demanding €50 million, and have rejected Inter’s opening bid of €40 million.
However, the Corriere dello Sport report, Inter are ready to improve their offer.
The newspaper notes that the Nerazzurri wouldn’t balk at adding €2-3 million to their bid to try and inch towards an agreement with Atalanta.

And for their part, Atalanta will likely be ready to play ball with Inter in negotiations for Ademola Lookman according to the Corriere di Bergamo.
La Dea have already received a €65 million fee from Al-Qadsiah for striker Mateo Retegui.
Atalanta know that they’ll have to outlay quite a bit on replacements for Retegui and Lookman. Not least because selling clubs know that they are swimming in cash after such big sales.
However, Atalanta are also aware that they must handle Lookman’s exit the right way.
Things have not devolved into an acrimonious transfer saga, even though the player has made his stance clear. He wants Inter.
Lookman will turn 28 in the autumn. Atalanta believe that this is the right time to sell him.
Therefore, if Inter can raise their offer by a few miillion euros, it could bring them to within touching distance of a deal.
