Report – Inter Milan Dreaming Of Sensational Double Swoop For Roma & Atalanta Stars | OneFootball

Inter Milan are dreaming of signing both Roma’s Manu Kone and Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman before the end of the transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Yesterday, news emerged that Inter Milan are interested in Roma midfielder Manu Kone.

The Frenchman has come into the Nerazzurri’s sights as a reinforcement in holding midfield.

Kone signed for Roma just twelve months ago, arriving from Borrusia Monchengladbach.

However, after a successful season in Serie A, the Giallorossi could sell him for a profit from the €18 million they paid last summer.

Inter’s pursuit of Manu Kone comes amid their drawn-out transfer saga with Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

Inter have been trying for weeks to sign the Nigerian international. But to no avail, as La Dea have firmly rejected two offers from the Nerazzurri.

Therefore, there is a sense that Inter could simply be moving on from trying to sign Lookman, and switching focus to making a big investment in signing Kone.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, though, that is not necessarily the case.

The newspaper report that Inter don’t feel that a deal for Kone would necessarily rule out one for Lookman.

Everything would depend, naturally, on the finances. If Roma insist on a high fee for Kone – well north of €40 million – it would be difficult to see Inter affording both he and Lookman.

On the other hand, the Nerazzurri are still hoping to get Kone for a lower fee than that.

And then everything could come down to sales. Inter are still aiming to sell players like Kristjan Asllani and Mehdi Taremi. And Piotr Zielinski could also go, potentially to the Saudi Pro League.

In that case, the Gazzetta report, deals for both Kone and Lookman could be within reach for Inter.
