Inter Milan and Club Brugge are reportedly finalizing the terms of a buyback option in the transfer of midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic.
Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, report that the fee for the teenage midfielder will be €10 million with add-ons but that there’s no confirmation of reports of a buyback worth €28 million.
Inter Milan midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic spent last season on loan with Swiss club Luzern.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding campaign. So much so that he has even been tipped to win the midfielder of the year award for the Swiss Super League.
Luzern had a purchase option on Aleksandar Stankovic. They can sign the Serb on a permanent basis for a fee of €1.5 million.
However, Inter in turn had a buyback clause, and can bring Stankovic back immediately.
Belgian giants Club Brugge have reportedly come to the head of the queue to sign Stankovic this summer.
The Belgians have spent the past few weeks pursuing the young Serb.
Yesterday, Inter met with directors from Club Brugge. These talks were to try and advance in a deal for Stankovic.
And Italian broadcaster SportMediaset confirm that the two clubs have close to an agreement.
Brugge will pay Inter a fee of €10 million including add-ons.
However, according to Mediaset, the two clubs are still hammering out what the buyback option in the deal will be.
There were reports from Belgium that it would be set at around €28 million. However, Mediaset report that the clubs are still negotiating the buyback.
