Inter Milan and Cagliari are reportedly negotiating the structure of a deal for striker Sebastiano Esposito this summer.

Today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the Rossoblu want the 23-year-old on an initial loan, whilst the Nerazzurri want to sell him right away.

It has always looked clear that Sebastiano Esposito will leave Inter Milan this summer.

One of these is Fiorentina. La Viola have reportedly spent the last few weeks eyeing up a deal for the 23-year-old.

However, Cagliari have also reportedly been keen on signing Esposito.

And yesterday, the Rossoblu held a new round of talks with Inter for the Italy youth team international.

Whilst Cagliari have been sounding out a deal for Esposito for several weeks, yesterday’s talks were all but decisive.

Inter and Cagliari have reached an agreement on a fee.

The Sardinians will pay a fee of €6 million for Esposito, the Gazzetta dello Sport report.

This means that Inter will finally cash in and sell Esposito outright after having loaned him out several times.

However, there is still the question of when that fee will actually come in.

Cagliari are keen to sign Esposito on loan with an obligation to buy the player next summer.

On the other hand, Inter would prefer a permanent sale this summer.
