Inter Milan have sent club representatives to London with plans to meet Tottenham Hotspur and discuss a potential defensive swap involving Radu Dragusin and Yann Bisseck, according to a report by TeamTalk. The Italian giants, amid managerial uncertainty and upcoming Club World Cup preparations, are said to be keen to strike early deals in the summer window.
This proposed move would see two promising yet contrasting centre-backs potentially trade places, offering both clubs an opportunity to recalibrate their defensive units ahead of a demanding 2025/26 campaign.

Following the departure of Simone Inzaghi, Inter are actively pursuing Como manager Cesc Fabregas as their next head coach. However, they are simultaneously pushing ahead with recruitment strategies as they prepare for the Club World Cup.
The Nerazzurri have identified Tottenham’s Radu Dragusin as a priority target, with his previous spell in Serie A with Genoa leaving a strong impression. According to CalcioMercato, Inter’s hierarchy will hold face-to-face talks with Spurs this week to discuss the possibility of Dragusin returning to Italy.
The reported swap deal would see Yann Bisseck, 23, head to North London. Bisseck has attracted interest from several Premier League outfits including Aston Villa, West Ham and Manchester United, but Tottenham are reportedly leading the race.
While the German centre-back has shown glimpses of promise, his 2024/25 campaign has been marked by inconsistency, leading Inter to consider offloading him. Spurs view Bisseck as a possible long-term asset, particularly with Ben Davies expected to depart when his contract expires on 30 June.
TEAMtalk’s Rudy Galetti revealed Tottenham’s interest in Bisseck back in April and recently provided an exclusive update on June 4, confirming that “Inter are very interested in Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi” and could switch their attention if they are unable to secure their primary targets.
Galetti also clarified that while Aston Villa are not in the mix for Bisseck, clubs such as Everton, West Ham and Bournemouth are monitoring the situation closely. However, Spurs remain the most “active club in the race for the once-capped German international.”

Despite Inter’s interest, it remains unclear whether Tottenham are open to letting Dragusin depart. The Romanian defender was only signed in January and has yet to fully integrate into Ange Postecoglou’s system. His Serie A experience makes him a valuable option for Inter, especially if they fail to secure Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
“There has been no concrete indications of Tottenham being willing to let him go,” the article states, but the club may reconsider if Bisseck becomes a central piece in Postecoglou’s evolving defensive project.
Inter’s preference is to complete any departure after the Club World Cup, making an immediate agreement less likely unless Spurs push for a swift resolution.
The potential Dragusin-Bisseck swap could represent strategic thinking from both sides. For Tottenham, Bisseck’s age and athletic profile fit Postecoglou’s philosophy of progressive football, while Inter would acquire a defender with proven Serie A pedigree in Dragusin.
As the summer window unfolds, such early movement hints at a more aggressive approach from both clubs. With key fixtures and competitions looming, particularly for Inter, this deal may yet prove decisive in setting the tone for their respective seasons.
From a Spurs fan perspective, the idea of swapping Radu Dragusin for Yann Bisseck might feel like a calculated risk rather than a sure-fire upgrade. Dragusin, although only arriving in January, has shown glimpses of composure and strength and, crucially, is familiar with the intensity of Premier League football now. Offloading him so soon could appear short-sighted.
However, fans will be intrigued by Bisseck’s profile. At 23, he fits the mould of what Ange Postecoglou is trying to build — energetic, versatile and with ball-playing capability. If Postecoglou sees him as a better fit for the system, fans may be willing to give him time, especially with Ben Davies heading for the exit.
Still, concerns linger. “Inconsistent” is not a word supporters want to hear about a potential signing, particularly in a backline that already struggled with stability last season. Unless Bisseck arrives as part of a wider defensive overhaul, questions will remain about the wisdom of letting Dragusin go so early.
Ultimately, fans will trust Postecoglou’s vision but expect clarity and improvement at the back this summer. The swap may work, but only if it’s followed by smart, decisive business in other key positions.
