Harry Kane has reportedly given the green light to Real Madrid as they prepare to ramp up their pursuit of Manchester United’s priority transfer target.

Marca has shared an update this evening suggesting that the 14-time European champions are ready to accelerate their interest in Kane, who has given the ‘OK’ to the potential move.

Madrid are now planning to lodge a bid worth €80 million to Tottenham Hotspur, though they can probably expect that to be swiftly rebutted by the Spurs board.

Daniel Levy is reluctant to sanction Kane’s exit as it is, but certainly for no less than £100 million.

United dealt transfer blow

The latest reports come as a huge blow to Erik ten Hag; the manager has earmarked Kane as the solution to United’s striker woes this summer but now faces competition from the Spanish giants.

29-year-old Kane boasts all-time top goalscorer status for both his club and national team but given his world-class talent, he does not have the trophies that he’d like at this stage in his career.

Kane has always shown the utmost respect to Spurs throughout his career and stuck with them despite their lack of success and wavering form, but this summer may see him pressure the board into overseeing his exit, with two of Europe’s finest clubs desperate for his signature.
