Club América have started to assemble their team for the 2021 Apertura tournament, which will start in July.
In recent days it has been mentioned that Salvador Reyes was going to be América’s first reinforcement of the summer, although it has not yet been made official.
Now according to ESPN, Querétaro’s Fernando Madrigal is one step away from becoming a new América player.
The 29-year-old midfielder was an undisputed starter at Querétaro, starting every single match for Los Gallos Blancos while contributing a goal and three assists.
The idea of this signing would be to add internal competition to the Águilas midfield. Mauro Lainez has publically urged his former Zacatecas team-mate to join him at the Estadio Azteca.
