Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) will continue to back Jurgen Klopp despite their terrible results this season, according to reports.

The Reds lost 3-0 to Wolves at Molineux over the weekend as they stayed to tenth after Chelsea moved above them on Friday night.

That loss means that Liverpool have now won just eight of their 20 Premier League matches this season after winning 28 of their 38 matches last term.

Liverpool are currently 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Newcastle United, who occupy the final Champions League place, while they are a huge 21 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Klopp is coming under pressure to turn around results with Liverpool facing a potential season without European football if they continue current form.

If they don’t qualify for the Champions League then the Merseysiders could find it trickier to attract the same talent to them in the summer with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham topping their list.

But Football Insider claim that the Liverpool board ‘will continue to back under-fire’ Klopp, which is what most supporters will be expecting and hoping after delivering them numerous moments of joy over the past few years.

There have been some suggestions that Klopp has taken the club as far as he can from some pundits, however, FSG are not ‘having any doubts about Klopp, or his ability to turn around a dreadful campaign and rebuild the team’.

And Football Insider insists ‘FSG will continue to stand by the manager regardless of how the season pans out’ with Liverpool showing faith in the German.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has noticed a lack of intensity in Liverpool’s play this season but he’s unsure how they can get it back.

“I can’t explain it. You have to say, can he get this team going again? Are they responding to him? It doesn’t look like they are responding to him,” Wright told Match of the Day.

“It’s the kind of thing where you’re thinking, can they have a reset this season, write this season off and sort it out in the summer. It seems like at the moment, they’re in limbo.”

In Jamie Carragher’s mind there is no doubt Klopp is still the man to lead Liverpool forward in the future.

Carragher said on Sky Sports: “There’s a lot of questions that need to be asked and a lot of answers to be found, but at the start of next season I don’t think there’s anyone Liverpool supporters would want in that dugout other than Jurgen Klopp.”
