The CIES Football Observatory have named Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi as the best player in Serie A for the month of September based on data provided by Opta.

The midfielder received a score of 94.7 which also makes him the second best performer across European football’s top five leagues with only Schalke’s Amine Harit doing better than him as he receieved a score of 95.3.

Sensi has also been the sixth best performer in European football’s top five leagues in the past six months with Opta giving him a score of 88.3. Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has been the best performer with a 93.2 rating.

Inter pair Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic also feature in the list of best performers of the past six months with scores of 89.7 and 90.7 respectively.
