Report: Chivas target Jaime Gómez will sign with other Liga MX club | OneFootball

Xolos right-back Jaime Gómez has been one of the more popular names linked to Chivas this summer but it appears that King Midas will not get his man.

Despite specifically asking the Chivas board to do whatever it takes to bring Gómez in, journalist Natalia León now claims that the very talented 27-year-old will sign with another Liga MX club.

Xolos reportedly wanted both Fernando Beltrán and César Huerta in exchange for Gómez, a sum that was far too high in the eyes of the Chivas hierarchy.

According to Record, the club that will land Gómez is none other than FC Juárez, who recently announced Tuca Ferretti as their new manager for the 2021 Guard1anes campaign.

Having seemingly missed out on their number one right-back target, it’s believed Chivas will now look to incorporate Raúl López, the seven-time Mexico international who spent last season at Toluca on loan from Pachuca.
