Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Real Betis star Jesus Rodriguez as they look for a new winger according to reports.
The Blues are once again set for a busy summer with a number of players set to leave the club in order to fund moves for new signings.
Chelsea face arguably their most important window under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker.
There’s set to be a lot of movement in the wide areas this summer with Chelsea weighing up whether to send Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United, whilst Noni Madueke has been linked with a move away.
It’s unclear if or when Mykhailo Mudryk will play for the club again following a positive doping test, and the Blues have been linked with the likes of Jamie Gittens and Nico Williams.

However, it appears the Blues have identified an alternative target and are now stepping up their pursuit of a La Liga star.
Mail Sport have reported Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Betis winger Rodriguez with the Spanish side wanting £35m for the 19-year-old.
The report adds the Spain under-19 international could be signed by Chelsea and then initially loaned back to Betis.
Chelsea have previously been linked with Rodriguez, who has mainly been played on the left wing by Manuel Pellegrini.
The teenager is having somewhat of a breakout season in La Liga where he’s scored two goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.

Rodriguez won the under-19 European Championship last summer and only made his debut for Betis in October, but is attracting interest from a number of top sides.
You can see why the Blues would be interested given he fits the recruitment model at the club, but with Estevao Willian arriving this summer and Geovany Quenda in 2026, you would have to question the need for another young winger.
