Chelsea are looking to find out if Morgan Rogers would be interested in joining the club before making a final decision on whether to make a bid according to reports.
The Blues are gearing up for another busy summer and could look to sell as many as seven or eight players to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Whilst a striker is the main priority the Blues are looking to sign a wide player and have been linked with several names.
Nico Williams has been described as a “dream” target, whilst the Blues are said to be leading the race for Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittnens.

Chelsea have most recently been linked with Villa star Rogers, who’s scored 14 goals and registered 13 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions this season.
It’s believed Aston Villa have set an asking price of £90m for the 22-year-old and Give Me Sport have now reported the Blues are looking to find out if the England international is keen on a switch to Stamford Bridge before making a final decision on whether to make an offer.

The report adds Chelsea are set to make contact ahead of potentially submitting a bid, but haven’t fully decided if they’ll make a bid.
Give Me Sport add Chelsea are fans of Rogers’ versatility and growth since joining from Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
Rogers is predominantly an attacking midfielder, but he can also play wide, which is where he’d most likely play if he joined the Blues.
Chelsea already have a wealth of options in the number ten role with Palmer the main man in that position, whilst South American sensations Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez will arrive this summer.
Rogers would be a fantastic signing, but it’s arguable whether Chelsea actually need the Englishman and with the potential fee as high as it is, you have to wonder if the Blues could better allocate that money to strengthen the squad.
