Celtic have reportedly made an opening bid for Isak Jansson from Rapid Vienna. Celtic are in the market to replace Nicolas Kühn, who is bound for Como in a €20m deal.

As reported by Celts Are Here, Celtic have launched an opening bid of between €2-3m for the attacker but this has been rejected with the Austria club valuing Jansson at €10m.

The report, penned by Mark Hendry, further states that an unnamed French club have made a €4m bid, which would put them in pole position to sign the player.

Jansson has scored ten goals and assisted on 8 occasions in 45 games in Austria. The report states that he would be available for £3m but he is likely to have a number of clubs vying for his signature.

The player plays on either flank but is right footed. The attacker’s main attributes are pace and dribbling, two attributes which Kühn possessed.

Celtic have are considering both Antwerp’s Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Sarpsborg’s Sondre Orjasaeter. You would imagine that the club will pick up their interest in the coming days if a move for Kühn is concluded.
