Celtic have been told that they will have to pay £5m to secure the signing of Jakob Breum. The Scottish Champions have had multiple bids rejected for the Danish winger as Brendan Rodgers looks to add attackers to his side.

However, Record Sport claim that Go Ahead Eagles have set their price tag for the player and that there is no room for negotiation. The Dutch club owe 25 per cent of any fee in a sell-on to his former club, Odense.

The report states that Eagles want their squad to remain intact for the Europa Conference League, meaning they will not budge from the fee. It does state that there is a clause in the player’s contract that will allow him to leave for £2m next summer but that is no use to Celtic, who require attacking reinforcements this summer to replace Nicolas Kühn and provide cover for the injured Jota.

In 68 appearances for the Eredivisie, Breum has scored 14 goals and assisted on 10 occasions. The 21-year-old will be attracting interest from across Europe and Celtic will be weighing up whether to return with a follow up bid for the player.

Elsewhere, Celtic are reportedly blocking Marco Tilio’s move to Rapid Vienna until they have reinforcements in the building.
