Since joining Ajax in 2020, Brazilian right-winger Antony has carved out a place for himself in Erik ten Hag’s starting line up and has 10 goals and 10 assists to his name.

Over in Eindhoven, Gakpo has come through the club’s youth system and the Dutch left-winger has 21 goals and 18 assists since joining the senior squad in 2018.

The rumour mill has tipped Bayern players Joshua Zirkzee, Bouna Sarr or Mickael Cuisance with potential exits meaning funds could potentially be available for either of these Eredivisie stars.

If the money can be found, whichever player pens a deal would join the likes of Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry in Julian Nagelsmann’s attack next season.
