Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race for talented Ajax striker Brian Brobbey alongside RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
The 19-year-old is set to leave Ajax at the end of the current season, and a number of top clubs are interested in procuring his services. Brobbey has made six appearances for the Ajax first-team, and has scored two goals and contributed with one assist.
Director of Football Marc Overmars told the club’s official website: “We think it is too bad and have done everything to keep him at Ajax longer. He has chosen to play football elsewhere after the summer.
“It’s difficult for me to accept, but it’s his decision. Brian is still under contract with us for a few months, if we need him the trainers will call on him.”
According to German magazine Kicker, Julian Nagelsmann’s side have reportedly already submitted an offer to Brobbey’s agent, Mino Raiola.
The report claims that talks have taken place between Leipzig and the player’s representatives, with Brobbey keen on plying his trade in a different league.
Fussball Transfers claim Raiola views Leipzig as the perfect next step for his client, as the club are known to provide much-needed playing time for youngsters.
Dortmund have previously been linked with a move for Brobbey, and it remains to be seen where the prolific forward ends up in the summer.
