Arsenal are reported to have rejected an approach for striker Gabriel Jesus from Brazilian side Palmeiras.
Jesus was a regular starter immediately following his switch from Manchester City in 2022 but dropped down to the bench after Kai Havertz was recruited 12 months later. He has played five times in the Premier League this season but for a total of just 79 minutes.
With Arsenal believed to be on the hunt for a new striker, questions have been asked about Jesus' future at the Emirates Stadium and former employers Palmeiras have been tipped to try and reunite with the 27-year-old Brazil international.
Globo Esporte state there was contact between the two sides in recent days as Palmeiras explored an ambitious reunion with Jesus, only for Arsenal to quickly knock back their enquiry.
Manager Mikel Arteta is still said to see Jesus as a core member of his squad and has no interest in parting ways with the Brazilian, who is fighting for his place in the squad going forwards.
Palmeiras are understood to have accepted Arsenal's stance at this time but continue to dream of a reunion with Jesus, whose close relationship with the club has left them convinced that he will return at some point in his career.
