Multiple clubs have reportedly expressed interest in Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirkzee and Anderlecht currently leading the race for his signature.
As reported by Corriere di Verona, the Belgian club and Serie A’s Hellas Verona were both battling to sign the 20-year-old on loan.
Recent updates, however, claim the deal with the Italian club has become complicated and subsequently fallen apart.
As a result, the door has been left wide open for Anderlecht and they are reportedly in discussion with Bayern to wrap up the deal in the near future.
Zirkzee spent the 2020/21 season on loan with Parma where he made four appearances before suffering a long-term ligament injury.
Prior to the move, he made 17 total appearances and has four goals to his name while playing for Bayern Munich from 2019 to 2021.
