After a season of struggles and Tottenham’s reported interest in Gladbach forward Marcus Thuram, Steven Bergwijn could be leaving White Hart Lane this summer.
Just 18 months after Spurs paid PSV Eindhoven £27m for the player, Ajax are hoping to take advantage of his meagre one-goal output in 35 total appearances.
According to De Telegraaf, Ajax hope to be able to convince Daniel Levy and Tottenham to sell the player for only £13m.
To make matters worse for the winger, the 12-time Dutch international was left off this summer’s Euro 2020 squad.
With PSV, the 23-year-old Bergwijn lit it up with 29 goals and 35 assists in 112 Eredivisie contests.
