Liverpool star Luis Diaz has reportedly been offered a new contract by the club, but he’s not yet given a response.
This has seemingly cast some doubt over the Colombia international’s future, with Barcelona on alert and eyeing a potential deal.
That’s according to a report from Relevo, with Diaz valued at around €80m and seen as a good option to add more variety to Hansi Flick’s attacking options.
Diaz has shone for Liverpool and most fans would surely much rather he stayed put, but a decision might have to be made soon as his current contract is due to expire in 2027.
If the former Porto man doesn’t put pen to paper soon, then it could make sense for LFC to cash in on him while they still can.

Diaz might not be someone Liverpool want to sell now, but it would also be a shame for him to still have his deal unsigned in a year’s time.
That would leave the Reds worried about losing him on a free the following year, so could pressure them into accepting a reduced bid.
It will be interesting to see how this develops, with Diaz surely likely to be temped by the chance to play for Barcelona.
Diaz has been linked with Barcelona a few times, and it may be that they keep on pursuing him because there’s some indication that he’d like to leave England.
It’s not uncommon for South American footballers to feel more at home in La Liga, due to language and cultural similarities.
Relevo add that Nico Williams is someone Barcelona have also looked at, but Diaz would make sense as another fine option for that area of their squad.
