Rennes are considering submitting a bid for Strasbourg forward and Senegalese international Habib Diallo (28), according to a report from L’Equipe. The 28-year-old striker delivered a prolific season with the Alsatians, proving instrumental in their fight to avoid relegation. Diallo registered 20 goals and one assist in 37 games played with Strasbourg. The outlet understand that the forward will leave the Frédéric Antonetti-led side this summer, even though the Senegal international is tied to Strasbourg with a contract set to expire in 2025.

Diallo’s availability and his ruthlessness in front of goal has caught the eye of Stade Rennais. The Bretons have qualified for next season’s Europa League group stage courtesy of their fourth-place finish and will need to strengthen their squad. What’s more, forward Martin Terrier may not be fully recovered from his season-ending ACL injury. L’Équipe understand that Rennes may soon submit a bid to their Strasbourg counterparts for Diallo. However, the Senegalese forward reportedly dreams of playing in the Premier League. Burnley, Brentford and West Ham are said to be monitoring the €20m-rated forward.
