After seven long months away, Alidu Seidu has rejoined his Stade Rennais teammates in training. The Ghanaian defender has completed his rehabilitation phase and is actively preparing for his return to competition for the 2025–2026 season.

Alidu Seidu is finally back on the pitch. Stade Rennais shared the news about the Ghanaian, who has been sidelined since last November due to a left knee injury. It all happened during the trip to Lille on November 24 in Ligue 1. What seemed like a routine clearance turned tragic. Seidu suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Surgery was followed by an intensive rehabilitation program.

Despite this setback, the club never stopped believing in him. On March 29, 2025, Alidu Seidu extended his contract with SRFC until 2029, a clear sign of trust from the staff and management. Just a few weeks later, he rejoined the Stade Rennais senior squad. The 25-year-old resumed full team training on July 1, 2025.
