Martin Terrier will likely partner Arnaud Kalimueno up front against Olympique Lyonnais, however, there is a shortage at the back with Warmed Omari and Lorenz Assignon suspended for Sunday evening’s fixture.
Terrier is still working his way back to full form and fitness since his ACL injury. Rennes will be hoping he does so quickly. Les Rennais have not won in Ligue 1 since 1st October, and it is only a matter of time until pressure begins to mount on Bruno Genesio.
Given Rennes’ exciting attacking arsenal, there has certainly been an underperformance up-front so far. However, it is the defence that will be of concern against a winless Lyon side. Omari and Assignon are both suspended for Les Gones’ visit to Roazhon Park. Steve Mandanda’s return in goal is, however, a boost. The veteran goalkeeper missed the side’s midweek Europa League victory over Panathinaikos.
