Following Guéla Doué’s (21) departure to RC Strasbourg Alsace, Stade Rennais are on the market for a right back, and are targeting Hellas Verona’s defender Jackson Tchatchoua (22), according to L’Equipe.
Rennes have been particularly active on the transfer market so far, with the latest addition being Leo Østigård from Naples. The Norwegian international is unlikely to be the last defender to join the Brittany side this summer. Les Rouges et Noirs have lost Doué to Strasbourg, and could also see Lorenz Assignon (24) leaving the club soon.
Consequently, Rennes are looking to strengthen their backline, and have added Tchatchoua to their shortlist. The Cameroun international had a solid season with Hellas Verona, but could leave Serie A only one year after arriving from Belgium outfit Charleroi. Tchatchoua is under contract until 2027 with the Italian outfit, which spent €3M last season for the right-footed defender.
