Eduardo Camavinga is set to become a new Real Madrid player on deadline day after Rennes confirmed a deal has been reached between the two clubs.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who report on Tuesday morning that Los Blancos have agreed to pay an initial €40m for the 18-year-old, which could rise to €45m including add-ons.
Camavinga has just one year left to run on his Rennes contract and has been the subject of much transfer speculation this summer, with Manchester United also heavily linked with his signature.
But after their attempt to sign Kylian Mbappé appears to have fallen through, Madrid have acted quickly and look likely to be bringing at least one young French talent to the Bernabéu before the transfer window closes.
