Standard Liege have announced that Renaud Emond has agreed a mutual termination of his contract with the club. The 32-year-old only had six months left of his contract but so far this season had appeared just three times in the league. LDH is reporting that the forward will now link up with Eupen where a contract has already been agreed. The Pandas are desperate for firepower as they look to avoid relegation.

This brings to an end a second spell with Standard for Emond. Between the summer of 2015 and the winter of 2020 he made 139 appearances for the side, scoring 43 goals. He was then signed for a reasonably large fee for Belgian football by Ligue 1 side Nantes. However, he struggled in France, scoring just three goals in 38 games. Since returning in the winter of 2022 Emond has scored six goals in 31 games.
