Roma will not pick up Renato Sanches’ buy option.

The Portuguese midfielder is expected to make his return to Paris Saint-Germain as he failed to meet Roma’s expectations, concluding his loan spell with a series of injuries and subpar performances.

During his loan, Sanches did not impress the Italian club – Fabrizio Romano reports that the Giallorossi have already informed all parties that they will not be activating the €15 million buy option.

In fact, the 26-year-old has made just 12 appearances this season with a total of 260 minutes played (an average of around 22 per game) and only one goal scored against Empoli in the 7-1 win last September 17th.
