Renato Sanches ‘not excited’ at Besiktas interest

Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches continues being linked with a move away from Roma prior to the transfer deadline.

The 26-year-old failed to impress the capital club and – despite Jose Mourinho’s recent exit and the subsequent entrance of Daniele De Rossi as interim head coach – is the favorite to depart the Giallorossi in the coming days.

However, for the time being Sanches has rejected all approaches that would have enabled him to interrupt his loan spell at Roma.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Besiktas are the last remaining team to show interest in Sanches and pushing for a loan deal until the end of the season.

At this moment in time, the player is said to not be too excited about the prospect of playing in Turkey – he prefers other destinations in France and Portugal.
