One week you score against Bayern Munich, the next week they want to sign you.
The German giants are firmly interested in a move for Florian Neuhaus this summer, according to SportBILD.
Neuhaus has been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena for a little while after impressing with Borussia Mönchengladbach. The midfielder was crucial last season as Gladbach finished fourth in the Bundesliga and qualified for the Champions League.
And he’s impressing this term, too.
The 23-year-old, who has played for Germany three times, scored the winner as Gladbach beat Bayern 3-2 last Friday.
That goal was his third of the season and his form is raising eyebrows around Europe.
Those eyebrows will tilt even further as the report claims he has a €40m release clause in his Gladbach contract, which runs to 2024.
A reasonable price for a well-rounded midfielder, Neuhaus will have plenty of suitors before long, and it looks like Bayern are set to be amongst the frontrunners.
Whether or not he’ll be up for a move to the Allianz Arena, having previously played for local rivals 1860 Munich, remains to be seen.
