Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae does have a release clause in his current deal but it would be applicable for only 15 days during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the South Korean, who joined the Partenopei from Fenerbahce only in the summer transfer window, as they managed to go past interest from Rennes. There has been talk about the defender having a release clause in his current deal and La Gazzetta dello Sport have added details into it.

They state that Kim’s release clause will be available to be triggered from the 1st of July to the 15th of July and while it stands at around €50 million, that asking price will change depending on the valuation and spending capacity of the clubs that come forward for him. Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain, for example, will have to pay about €60 million for the player.

It is reported that this clause was asked for by Kim’s agents, who wanted to check out potential avenues away from Napoli, if their client didn’t feel happy at the Partenopei. But with the Partenopei close to winning the Scudetto, Kim is more than happy and he is enjoying life at the club.
