Manchester United are doing their utmost to get rid of their outcast contingent in the final days of the transfer window.
INEOS are indeed in a race against time to sanction the exits of Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho, who all seemingly have no desire themselves to move on and get their 2025/2026 campaigns started with new clubs.
Sancho, in particular, has left the board pulling their hair out over his ludicrous stance, which has seen him reject moves due to the sides not meeting his wage expectations.
It’s thought that that’s the reason Chelsea ultimately opted against signing him permanently upon the culmination of his loan spell; they’d held talks with the winger to try and negotiate a lower financial package than the one he’s grown accustomed to on his United contract, but an agreement was never reached, prompting the club to pay a £5m penalty and send him back to Old Trafford.

Since then, Sancho has been linked with a host of suitors.
At one stage of the summer, it looked nailed on that he’d be joining Juventus, until they prioritised the signings of other targets and put their interest in the 25-year-old on the back burner.
He did have contact with AS Roma over the last couple of weeks to gauge how a switch to the Stadio Olimpico may look. However, Sancho then put a stop to the discussions and closed off the prospect of the move.
One side that is seen as something of a last resort to him is Besiktas — a transfer that would see him reunite with the manager who signed him for United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Sancho is uninterested in joining the Turkish league as things stand, but will have no choice but to consider it in the very last days of the window.
Of course, the prospect of the Englishman reviving his Red Devils career is completely off the table.
Fabrizio Romano shared his understanding of the situation on YouTube this week, telling viewers: “For Sancho, the message from United remains the same. No chance to retire in the squad. Sancho doesn’t even want to retire in the squad, so the relationship remains completely broken between Man United and Sancho.
“On the Roma deal, for Man United, it’s very clear. Man United would take the offer from Roma. It’s already been clear for more than one week. £20 million, a loan with an obligation for United is okay. United would take that money and let the player go.
“It’s the player who said no on Monday, and at the moment, the player is still not giving any different indication about that. If Sancho decides to reopen talks with Roma, we will be here to let you know in the next days. As of today, Sancho is still not accepting, not opening doors to a Roma move.
“So, let’s see what’s going to happen there, but Sancho remains one of the players who have to leave Manchester United in these final days of the summer transfer window, because the relationship with Manchester United is completely broken.”
