Dusan Vlahovic was considered to be one of the few bright spots for Juventus in their painful draw with Cagliari.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side again proved frustrating for supporters in their Friday evening Serie A clash with the Sardinian side, who held them to a 2-2 draw after taking an early lead through Gianluca Gaetano and Yerry Mina.
Juventus clawed one back through Vlahovic before a late own goal from Alberto Dossena allowed them to salvage a point at the Unipol Domus. The result piled further pressure on Allegri, who seems destined to depart at the end of the season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted how Vlahovic was one of the few Juventus players who didn’t disappoint in the draw with Cagliari, giving him a decent review considering the result, writing: “One of the few to save himself alongside Yildiz.
“On the first ball he got, he shot badly, but then masterfully converted the free kick to make it 2-1 and attempted the overhead kick.”
Tuttosport echoed these sentiments, suggesting that he was kept fairly quiet until his decisive contribution, saying: “You couldn’t see him, or almost nothing, then he landed the lion’s paw.
“This time a free kick that surprised Scuffet and rekindled Juventus’ hopes. And the meter ticks up, 16 goals in the league.”
