As reported by , Ligue 1 side Stade Reims are looking to sign second-tier Le Havre’s youngster Amir Richardson this summer.

The 20-year-old emerged from the HAC famed academy last season and quickly became first choice at the base of the midfield under Paul Le Guen as the northern club missed out on making a play-off challenge, eventually finishing eighth.

The French midfielder has a contract running to 2024 at Stade Océane but, given his value, he is expected to be allowed to leave the club this off-season, as the club’s new sporting director Mathieu Bodmer confirmed, with both Brest and Lorient showing interest in the player too.

Richardson played 33 times in Ligue 2 for HAC last season, providing one assist in the process in a season that began with the player being placed in police custody after being found driving without a licence. He could be the second major talent to be sold this summer after .
