Reims agree deal to sign Keito Nakamura, Lille still in the race | OneFootball

According to Le Parisien, Stade de Reims are looking to pip Lille OSC to the signing of LASK Linz winger Keito Nakamura (23). Will Still’s side have seen their bid for the Japanese international accepted.

As revealed by Foot Mercato back in July, Lille were in advanced talks to sign Nakamura and were reportedly close to reaching LASK Linz’s asking price of €11m. However, Les Dogues need to free a non-EU place in their roster, and Alexsandro has been linked with a loan move away from the club.

However, Reims have now entered the race and are the only club to have found an agreement with LASK Linz to sign Nakamura. The Japanese international is determined to leave the Austrian side this summer and is considering joining Will Still’s side.

To keep in the race and avoid missing out to a Ligue 1 rival, Lille will now have to move quickly to free up space within their squad.
