Tijjani Reijnders has confirmed that talks are on with AC Milan over a contract renewal and that they are progressing well.
There have been a number of reports circulating in the last few days suggesting that Reijnders and Milan are working towards a new long-term deal, despite the fact he only signed his first contract last year when he joined.
Speaking on Monday during the programme broadcast on Ziggo Sport Rondo, the midfielder gave an important update regarding the negotiations for his contract renewal with Milan.
“I haven’t signed yet, it still has to happen, but we’re on the right track. It’s a nice reward that Milan wants to give me,” he said.
“Extending the contract after a year doesn’t happen often. Milan are a great club to play for. It’s nice to see the appreciation.”

His performances for the Rossoneri have understandably turned heads with the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea credited with interest in the past couple of days, plus Spurs and Barcelona.
La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin published an update yesterday in which he stated that the extension is ‘90% done’, with ‘almost everything’ agreed between the parties.
