Serie B side Reggiana are wearing special jerseys this weekend with the names of the players on the back written in Braille.
The initiative is a one-off for the match against Ternana and was designed in conjunction with kit sponsors Macron.
This is because February 21 will be National Braille Day, celebrating the language created by Louis Braille that allows people to read when visually impaired.
“A beautiful initiative to promote an increasingly inclusive and accessible football experience for all,” wrote the official Instagram account of the club.
It is not the first time Italian football has shown it remembers all its fans, as several stadiums, including Milan and Inter at San Siro, have systems providing an audio description of the game as it is played.
