Reda Khadra is hoping to 'kick on' at Brighton after signing a new contract.
The 19-year-old, who made his first-team debut against Manchester City this season, signed a new two-year deal on Tuesday
Speaking to the club's website, he said: "I feel really good and fit at the moment.
"But once I am back from my injury, I want to get a really good pre-season under my belt and kick on from there."
Asked about playing with the first-team, Khadra added: "I didn't expect that involvement to come that quickly to be honest, but of course it was great for me.
"I trained with the likes of Leandro Trossard and Danny Welbeck who are both attacking players, just to be in that environment with those sorts of players will really help me as a player going forward.
"The conversations I had with Graham Potter, Billy Reid and all the coaching staff are really good, and I know this is the right environment for me to keep getting better and make progress."
