Josko Gvardiol to Manchester City may finally be on the verge of completion after an up-turn in the direction of a deal on Tuesday.

A private jet from Leipzig into Manchester sent social media into a frenzy, and while no confirmed sightings of the player surfaced, news followed in the hours after that indicated Gvardiol’s imminent arrival at the home of the European champions.

It was a busy day on all fronts too, as Manchester City moved closer towards sanctioning a sale of Carlos Borges, who had strongly been linked with a move to West Ham United before a dramatic turn of events this week.

Manchester City are attempting to push through a deal for Josko Gvardiol before Sunday’s Community Shield against Arsenal.
