Manchester City have officially unveiled their new away kit ahead of the 2022/23 season.

It’s a reversion to the club’s classic red and black striped away colours … but with a twist.

“For the first time ever, we have placed the stripes at an angle, to pay tribute to the three rivers on the Club’s crest to create a bold and striking design,” said Marco Mueller, PUMA Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel.

“To celebrate the greatest show on the road we decided to launch the kit in Houston during the Club’s pre-season tour, with the fixture coinciding with the anniversary of the first moon landing.

“What better place for a team that play like they are from another planet.”

City will debut the new kit when they take on Club América in their first pre-season friendly later this week, with details of their new third kit still yet to be revealed.
