Jack Wilshere praises Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur

Speaking on the ITV Football Show Podcast, as relayed by Football.london, former Arsenal superstar Jack Wilshere has praised Jose Mourinho and Tottenham Hotspur, claiming that they have a good chance of winning the title.

Wilshere, a product of our rivals’ youth academy and their youngest ever debutant, has had a rocky relationship with Tottenham supporters. While it is expected, given that he played for our local rivals, the animosity only grew after his anti-Spurs chants after their FA Cup success in 2015.

However, his career has been a downward spiral since, with injuries taking a serious toll. Having left Arsenal, he signed for West Ham United, where he once again struggled with fitness problems. Wilshere was finally released by the Hammers this past summer and is currently a free agent and on the lookout for a club.

“I actually enjoy watching Tottenham play under Jose, especially this season. I think Jose is fantastic, a fantastic manager, a fantastic coach and if anyone is going to do it with Tottenham it is going to be Jose, let’s be honest.”

The England international midfielder further went on to add that considering how our attack was performing and the improvement that the defence has shown, Spurs had a good chance of winning the league title. (h/t Football.london)

“They do look really strong. They’ve brought in [Gareth] Bale, they’ve got Son [Heung-min] and [Harry] Kane up top. I feel they have improved massively defensively, which is what they were always going to do under Jose and their midfield is strong as well. So they have a good chance, unfortunately.”
