Former Stade Rennais centre-back Nayef Aguerd is set to return to France this evening when Real Sociedad take on OGC Nice in the UEFA Europa League. The Morocco international is expected to start in the fixture.
Real Sociedad have not begun the season brightly and currently sit 16th in La Liga. They will be looking to turn around their fortunes at the Allianz Riviera on Wednesday night. For the encounter, Imanol Alguacil must contend with three injuries, including that of former Rennes captain, Hamari Traoré. The full-back is a long-term absentee, whilst Arsen Zakharyan and Umar Sadiq will also miss out.
Aguerd, on loan from West Ham United, will start alongside Igor Zubeldia at centre-back. Martín Zubimendi will start in midfield, whilst Mikel Oyarzabal will start up front.
