Real Sociedad are working to replace the injured Mikel Oyarzabal. The Basque side confirmed on March 17 that Oyarzabal ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament. He will undergo surgery in the next few weeks.

Polish player Sebastian Szymanski is now a target for the club, according to AS. FIFA is allowing foreign players and coaches to temporarily leave Russian and Ukrainian Premier League clubs and sign for new teams, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Szymanski is currently on the books of Dynamo Moscow. The young winger, 22, is a full international with Poland and wants to leave Russia as soon as possible. His agent, Mariusz Piekarski, is making moves and La Real have already met with him to find out more about his plan to leave the Moscow club and the conditions under which the deal could be completed.

Piekarski already has an agreement with Dynamo Moscow, and there is a strong possibility of the player leaving before 7 April – the final date that FIFA is allowing players to leave Russia.

If Szymanski doesn’t leave the club now, he is set to leave in the summer. Negotiations are at an advanced stage.

Dynamo paid Legia Warsaw €5.5 million for the player in 2019.
