Real Sociedad identify Getafe star as ‘priority’ summer signing | OneFootball

The powers that be at Real Sociedad have set their sights firmly on the signature of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Getafe.

That’s according to Relevo transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Borja Mayoral as the player in question.

Frontman Mayoral, for his part, is fresh off an impressive campaign on the books of the aforementioned Getafe, which saw him rack up 17 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Such production did not go at all unnoticed across the Spanish football landscape, with a number of La Liga clubs understood to be keen on the 27-year-old’s services with a view to next season.

And, as alluded to above, adding their names to this list this week have been Imanol’s Real Sociedad.

As per Relevo, Mayoral is considered a ‘priority’ addition at Anoeta, with La Real sporting director Roberto Olabe ‘in love’ with his game.

Significantly, it is also noted that the will of the striker is to find a new home this summer, with Getafe, too, open to a sale.

A deal, however, will not come cheap, with the Azulones demanding a premium fee for a player who is also attracting strong interest from both Italy, and Germany.
