Real Sociedad dealt injury blow during win over Leganés | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad were this evening dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

As much came amid what was an otherwise altogether positive day’s work for Imanol’s troops.

Real Sociedad marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the Spanish capital for a meeting with Leganés.

When all was said and done, the visitors emerged on the right side of a 3-0 result, owing to goals on the part of all of Brais Méndez, Ander Barrenetxea, and Mikel Oyarzabal.

The one sour note for La Real on Sunday, however, came during the first-half at The Estadio Municipal de Butarque.

This came after defender Aihen Muñoz, amid a fine recent spell of individual form, was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.

After a collision with Miguel De La Fuente, left-back Aihen was left grounded and in evident discomfort, clutching at his hip.

After being tended to by the visitors’ medical team, it was in turn quickly decided that the defender was in no fit state to continue.

Hauled off for Javi López, it now remains to be seen whether or not Aihen is facing up to any kind of extended spell on the sidelines.
