Real Sociedad could be without 9 players vs Villarreal as Kubo joins list of doubts | OneFootball

The ongoing injury crisis being endured by La Liga outfit Real Sociedad has taken another turn for the worse.

This comes amid confirmation that two important members of Imanol’s squad were forced to sit out training on Monday.

The players in question? Takefusa Kubo, and Hamari Traoré.

Both wide-man Kubo and defender Traoré featured from the off on Sunday, as Sociedad made the trip to Son Moix for a meeting with RCD Mallorca.

En route to a return to winning ways, which saw the former find the net, however, both are understood to have picked up fitness problems.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Kubo was spotted in discussion with a member of La Real’s medical team post-match, whilst Traoré is still suffering with the after effects of a heavy challenge on the part of Samú Costa.

Neither, as a result, were present earlier today, as Imanol put his squad through their recovery paces.

As much comes on top of the continued absences of all of Mikel Oyarzabal, Kieran Tierney, Sheraldo Becker, Carlos Fernández, Álvaro Odriozola, Aritz Elustondo and Aihen Muñoz.

It now remains to be seen which of these stars, if any, recover in time, ahead of Real Sociedad playing host to Villarreal at Anoeta on Friday night.
