The powers that be at Real Sociedad are closing on the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga rivals Alavés.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Javi López as the player in question.
Having already wrapped up a deal for one new left-back this summer, in Manchester City’s Sergio Gómez, the brass at Anoeta remain on the hunt for another.
And López, it would seem, has emerged as the chosen one.
As per a report from Relevo transfer insider Matteo Moretto:
‘The team managed by Imanol Alguacil is close to securing the services of full-back Javi López, from Alavés.’
In fact, an agreement between the two clubs is already understood to have been finalised, with it now simply up to the Sociedad brass to reach an agreement with the 22-year-old, too.
López, for his part, is fresh off a fine campaign in Vitoria-Gasteiz, which saw the Spaniard notch a goal and three assists across 32 La Liga appearances.
