The Copa del Rey is progressing, unveiling the teams set to clash in the round of 32 of this knockout tournament. Joining the four automatically qualified teams—Barcelona, Real Madrid, Osasuna, and Atlético Madrid—these teams are gearing up for the next phase.
So far, the tournament has witnessed thrilling matches and unexpected upsets, building anticipation for the remaining teams vying to advance in their pursuit of the coveted domestic title.
All 32 teams slated for the next phase of the Copa del Rey have secured their positions, with notable achievements by Barbastro and Arandina. These two Second RFEF teams successfully ousted Almeria and Cadiz from the competition.
First thing first, it is important to understand why Real Madrid, among three other teams, did not play in the opening round of the competition.
Madrid, the reigning champions of the Copa del Rey from the previous season, and the runners-up, Osasuna, will join forces with La Liga titleholders Barcelona and third-positioned Atletico Madrid to compete in the upcoming 2023-24 Supercopa de Espana.

Following the revised format, these four clubs are slated to enter the Copa del Rey during the round of 32. Remarkably, this stage coincides with the days immediately preceding their departure to Saudi Arabia.
The draw for the Cope del Rey Round of 32 is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12 and Madrid are expected to face anyone from the following teams – Barbastro, Arandina, Castellon, Lugo, Unionistas de Salamanca, Malaga.
